Feature Launch: Take Control of Your Attribution Data

Every store operates differently. Some orders are the direct result of an SMS touchpoint - and some aren't. Wholesale orders, internal test purchases, influencer-driven sales, pre-orders - you've always known these shouldn't count toward your SMS revenue. Until now, there was no clean way to act on that.

With the new Excluded Order Tags feature, you can specify any Shopify order tags that TxtCart should skip when calculating attributed revenue. Any order carrying a matching tag gets excluded from your reported numbers automatically - giving you a cleaner, more accurate picture of what TxtCart is genuinely driving for your business.

No manual cleanup. No mental math. Just attribution that reflects how your store actually operates.

No action required to keep your existing setup. Head to Attribution Settings in your dashboard and find the new Excluded Order Tags section whenever you're ready. Add whichever tags you'd like excluded - everything else stays exactly the same until you do.

💡 Pro tip: Running a subscription app like Seal Subscriptions? This one's for you. Subscription apps often generate recurring orders automatically - duplicates of the original purchase that had nothing to do with an SMS. If those orders are getting credited to TxtCart, your attributed revenue is inflated by default. Tag your subscription renewal orders in Shopify and exclude that tag here. Your numbers will finally reflect what SMS actually drove, not what your subscription billing generated on its own.
